Phelps Last Night
Last night as I watched Michael Phelps get his 7th gold medal I was completely shocked. I swear the guy next to him actually won that event. Even after watching it at numerous angles I’m still convinced that there is some cheating going down at the Olympics and I’m not just talking about the Chinese gymnasts.

Is everyone so bent on Michael Phelps winning over and over again that they would cheat in last nights 100m butterfly?
As I was watching it “live” (or as live as NBC allows), I even shouted “wow he came in second” and then all of sudden the number “1″ appears in his lane, and I’m thinking to myself, what in the world?
I am a Michael Phelps fan, but I cannot sit idle and know that he did not win that race last night. At least not from what I can tell. And I’d hate for all his hoopla to get in the way of fair sportsmanship. I’m not saying Phelps is being an unfair sport, cause the swimmers can’t have a way of knowing, but I think if they keep reviewing the footage they’ll come to a different conclusion on last night’s race.

What are your thoughts?
I truly shocked last night when they showed him with a number “1″ in his lane, that’s not the finish I saw.
UPDATE:
Serbia has decided to give in to their protest over lasts nights race.
Saying
“They (FINA referees) examined the video and I think the case is closed. The video says (Phelps) finished first. In my opinion, it’s not right. But we must follow the rules. Everybody saw what happened.”

Maybe Phelps has longer fingers?
After watching the video 3 times, I think you’re right. He did come in second!

I think it’s biased of you and the Serbian newscaster to only show an ariel shot of the race. There are more videos on youtube that show a slow underwater shot. Based on those footages Phelps did win by a second.
Since 1987, there has been a device known as a touch pad that is placed across a pool wall. When a swimmer touches it the time immediately stops. That is how winners and losers are judged. The touch pad has never failed since its creation and is the most accurate way of determining results.
Picture of a touch pad. The ones that were in the Beijing Olympics were actually made by a Swiss Company called Omega.

This blog sucks. Deleting my post that proves Phelps won?
Oh well believe that Cavic won even though there is evidence on others
sites that he did not. It’s funny how Serbia is claiming this guy even though
Cavic was born in the United States of America to immigrant parents.
